Going off the Grid

We’re celebrating another milestone in Jamieson’s ongoing goal to embrace a business practice that preserves and enhances our environment.
On Tuesday, July 31st, the Honorable Chris Bentley, Ontario’s Minister of Energy made it official: Jamieson is moving off the grid! On the roof of our manufacturing facility, there are 2,400 solar panels that will generate more than 800,000 kW of power each year. These panels will offset almost one-fifth of our power consumption at this plant.
In household terms, we’re producing enough renewable energy to keep 5,000 - 60 watt light bulbs burning for eight hours every day over the course of an entire year.
While the Jamieson solar project is one of the largest in the province, it’s just the beginning. We have an installation of similar capacity already in the works down the road at the Jamieson softgel manufacturing facility. We look forward to the day when that project goes online.
At Jamieson, our motto is “Good for you. Good for the planet.” It’s a commitment to wellness for all of our customers now and in the future. We’re optimistic that each positive action can, and will, make a difference.

Way to go! Bless you for your good supplements - pride of the country!! Please don't go the way of so many of our manufacturers and succumb to the lure of foreign buyers - please please please. I like to use something I know is REALLY CANADIAN.

way to go Jamieson - as an ex-pat - I feel a special bond to your company since you're in the Windsor area supporting the local economy and providing much needed non-auto jobs in the community. Seeing how you respect the planet and make a concerted effort to respect the environment makes me glad that yours are the only vitimins I purchase (it's been that way for years). Thanks for making a difference!

Great news!!! Finally this successful business is getting the recognition long overdue which has been shadowed by the big3. Well done. As a pharmacy assistant, I see your products every single day and am proud that you have stayed in the Windsor/Essex region.
