Toronto, ON (February 21, 2012) Jamieson Laboratories is now accepting nominations from community groups who would like to participate in Call for the Wild! 2012.

Call for the Wild! is Jamieson Laboratories’ community investment program that grants a total of $100,000 each year to registered non-profit organizations involved in the protection of Canada’s wildlife and wilderness. The program goals are threefold: To protect habitats and the endangered species that call them home; to conserve ecologically significant land; and to rehabilitate and protect wildlife.

Five organizations that best meet these objectives will be selected to participate in a social media-based public voting campaign that takes place later this year. Jamieson Laboratories will award a donation to each organization based on the percentage calculation of total votes posted during the voting campaign.

"At Jamieson, our passion for improving human wellness extends to a respect for wildlife and the environment," says Vic Neufeld, President and CEO of Jamieson Laboratories. "Wildlife species are icons of the Canadian landscape and we’re proud to advance their protection as well as the habitats where they live."

March 15 is the deadline for the submission of nominations. Visit jamiesoncares.com for program information or to nominate the organization of your choice.

I was wondering if you need to be a charitable organization in order to be seleceted as one of the five organization? Or do you only need to be a registered not-for-profit organization? Thank you and have a great day!
